Pumpkin Patch

// October 9th, 2011 // No Comments » // Taylor's Posts

Today my family drove to a pumpkin patch near Burke, VA. We got super lost despite all four of us having smart phones. Anyways, we finally made it there and didn’t end up buying any pumpkins. We did see some feathery chicken friends!

I love chickens!

My sister, Kate, and I grew up raising Rhode Island Red hens and have always had a certain fondness for these little guys (maybe that’s why I don’t like the taste of chicken, hmmm). Unfortunately these chickens didn’t really reciprocate our enthusiasm and affection. I think we’ll stick with kitties.

Visiting the Grandparents

// October 2nd, 2011 // 1 Comment » // Taylor's Posts

My big adventure today was attempting to visit my grandparents at their retirement community in Springfield. I went over and picked up my dad and couldn’t help but come in and play with the kitties for a little bit.

I also discovered a new type of Dr. Pepper that blew my mind. Not so sure I can tell the difference though. Anyone remember Pepsi ONE?

Once we got to the retirement community we had to wait around for my grandparents get back from Sunday brunch (apparently everything takes forever at these places). I wasted some time taking pictures of the random stuff that my g’rents chose to bring with them to their condo.

It looks like my family has a history with schnauzers too! Anyhoo…by the time the g’rents finally came back from brunch we pretty much had to leave. They did however offer to hire Ben and I for a portrait session before the holidays which should be fun!
